I have read old post regarding a buyer request to change address after purchase. However since the start of managed payments, a buyer simply cannot go to Paypal and make a false claim about item not received. I was wondering what is eBay stance on this problem/issue since the start of managed payments.?
I have been in Managed Payments since October 2018. I only send to the SHIP TO address attached to the payment. If the buyer wants the item sent to another address, s/he needs to do that during the payment process and click that CHANGE link when s/he sees the SHIP TO address.
If the buyer contacts via ebay message to change the address, you can tell the buyer you will file a Cancellation due to problem with buyer's address. The buyer can then repurchase the item, and make sure s/he changes the SHIP TO address before paying. Make sure the person sending the message is the person that made the purchase. There have been scams where a different person contacts the seller to send to a different address.
