Buyer did not return item; how to get return in progress removed from my account?

Hi! I had a seller start a formal return through ebay. Then the buyer did not return the item. It has been 2 weeks, yet it still shows at the bottom of the myebay page this open return case. Is there a way to close this case without calling ebay or does ebay eventually close this at the end of the month? Thanks! Mists
