Buyer claims they never received item.

Hi,

I recently sold an item I shipped it flat rate priority. Tracking number shows it being delivered at or near mailbox. Buyer claims they never received it. What options do I have as the seller?

You don't need any options because your job is done.  Once the tracking states the item has been delivered, you are no longer responsible.  Advise your buyer to contact their mail carrier, who was the last one to handle it, and actually scanned it as being delivered.

They can also check around their home, and with anyone who could have taken the package in for safekeeping.

Hi

You are fully protected as a seller if tracking shows the package was delivered to the buyer's ZIP Code.  It's a delicate matter ... but you have to encourage your buyer to question their mail carrier, postmaster, and neighbors about where your package might be.

You will win a dispute if buyer files one ... although it could take a phone call to eBay.  [Funny things are happening in disputes, lately.]
