Hi,
I sold an authentic popmart item on eBay. Listed all the details, more then enough pictures, also of the qr code etc.
She asked me to ship the item well protected so I did (I always do that). I sent her pictures of how I’ve packaged it and sent her the tracking code as well.
she didn’t reply for 4 days. Then upon receiving the item she says that she can’t find the numbers to verify the item on the popmart website. So I explain to her that she needs to scratch the Chinese characters for the numbers to show and she can then put those in the website. She doesn’t listen to me and starts accusing me of selling a fake item. I try to explain her 3 more times that it’s real and you need to scratch the characters under the qr code. She applied for a refund but I’m now scared that she will replace my real item with a fake one to prove her point. The item was already taken out of the box once, that was also listed in the description btw, so she can easily replace it. If she does this I will not only lose a lot of money, but also the real item. I’ve already reported her to eBay. What do I do now?

Reported the buyer for what, exactly? You have no real proof of the buyer’s intentions. You are speculating at this point.
Let the buyer return the item for a refund. You may as well, as there is not really anything else that you can do.
If the buyer opens a return case citing “not as described” or “item doesn’t seem authentic,” you will be required to refund in full anyhow… and if you try to refuse thereturn, eBay will take the funds back from you, refund the buyer, and most likely let the buyer keep the item as well.
Let the buyer return. See what you get back.
If the buyer switches the item, then you report the buyer (not before).
If you get the original item back, re-list.
