Buyer Scam

I sold a set of vintage kitchen canisters to a woman, I shipped them in a very secure box with lots of tape on all sides. When the woman received the package she sent me an email stating there was nothing in the box. I asked her to send me a picture of the tampered box but she sent a picture of  the opened box that looked like it was opened, not tampered with, and it was empty. I know I sent the canisters in the box. I set up a dispute with ebay and the woman, ebay gave the woman her money back and I was out $100.00.  Today, I am reading about Ebay scams and this is the top scam. I want my money back for the canisters and I want the canisters back from the woman!!! Yeah, I know, good luck with that!

Buyer Scam

Never involve ebay if you can help it.  Did buyer open a Return Request for missing items?  If so your response should have been for her to double check with other household members who might have opened the box before you report this to USPS and her local police department and would she please cooperate with the postal inspectors and police to find out what happened.  This often has things magically appear or buyer disappearing.

If this doesn't work, you can file a police report to send it with your appeal to ebay.  This is the only way to have ebay look at it again.

Next REPORT the buyer for abuse of the ebay MBG.

Then after you report the buyer you appeal the case:
