I wanted to know if anybody knows a way that to do exactly what the subject of this thread says. The description of my items are find, but I would like to ensure that all items have the same text formatting such as font, font size, paragraph styling and such. Has anybody come across this option before? I also need to turn off sending automatic offers which appears to be something that I would have to do one by one. Somebody mentioned switching back to "classic view." I'm not sure if doing that would solve both problems and what the pros and cons of doing so would be.

Switching to a different lister will not solve either problem.
Sending offers to interested buyers is something that would be managed in your seller account.

Automatically accepting an offer is at the listing level, where different limits can be set.
DESCRIPTION: You would need to remove all formatting and then apply the styling that you want. eBay does not have any facility to remove the HTML formatting from your description in bulk. However, there are third party tools that can do that. I used the Active Content editor to remove all but paragraph breaks, set one size and style of font, and then add a colored border/background, in bulk, to all of your descriptions.
That is the level of control you can get with that tool. You would then upload the resulting spreadsheet of bulk revisions to eBay's Seller Hub uploader.

I'm going to save the tool filter here so that we can pick it up and change it should you want to go this route.

That colored background is just an optional enhancement. If you want to use that, or something like it, in future listings, eBay's description editor has a "Custom template" feature that can hold some code and placeholder text.
