Avoiding Automatic relisting of GTC listings

While I do list items as fixed price with GTC, I do not want the listings to be automatically relisted.  While I can go in and end the listings before they reach the 30 day period, I wind up missing selling any items that would otherwise be sold right before the 30 day period ends.  Does anyone know how I can allow the listings to stay listed until after the 30 day period is up and still avoid them being relisted?
