Automatic payment processing

Recently when I try to place a bid, I get a page asking me to set up how I want payments to be automatically processing. I do not, ever, want payments to be automatically processed.

How do I opt out of this so I can get back to the normal bidding process?

If the particular seller requires immediate payment for bids, you will not be able to avoid that.

Thanks. This is the first time I've encountered this. I always pay with PayPal. Using PayPal I can pay using my checking account or one of my three credit cards. I want to be able to choose the payment method each time I make a purchase. This automatic payment processing would eliminate that ability.

Looks like I will never be able to bid on an item if, as you say, the seller requires immediate payment.

I want to be able to choose the payment method each time I make a purchase.

At the moment, in order to be assured of selecting a different payment method, I think you would have to delete your default payment method after each bid or prior to the next bid if you did not want the last method used again.

eBay is still in the process of implementing this new system, so it is possible at some point eBay will provide a more consistent mechanism to choose between different payment methods for each bid or offer.
