Hi - I recently sold a watch subject to the ebay Authenticity Guarantee program. Do I need to purchase my own insurance when shipping the watch to the authenticator - such insurance is very expensive. Or does ebay provide insurance on my watch while in transit to the authentication? Thanks.

You need to add insurance.
"Upon purchase, you are required to ship the Eligible Item, with appropriate insurance coverage, to a facility located within the United States, as directed by eBay; the cost of shipping to the third-party authenticator is not covered by eBay. "

@mwoodall55 You are responsible for the watch arriving safely to the authentication center so if you want to be protected for items that are lost or damaged you need to buy insurance.
