Authenticity Guarantee failure, not reliable, no recourse

Anonymous
Not applicable

My first experience with Authenticity Guarantee process has been beyond awful.  I sold a pair of earrings that I personally bought directly from a Tiffany boutique.  I have the original receipt.  The earrings are as authentic as they could be unless you want me to believe that the Tiffany store itself sells fakes.  Yet at the authentication center they were rejected and sent back to me.  I appealed and provided the receipt.  They denied the appeal.  There is no phone number to call, no way to get any answers.  My assumption is that the authentication just didn’t know where to look for the marks.  On Tiffany earrings, the stamp T&Co. Au 750 is on the actual post of the earring.  There are no other marks. If you don’t know where to look and have a magnifying glass, you won’t notice it.  Silly me, I figured “experts” who are suppose to authenticate jewelry would know that.

Now I’ve lost a sale for no good reason, the buyer has been denied earrings they want and the authenticator made the mistake will face no repercussions nor be properly trained.  Any tips from anyone on where to go from here?  I have some other pieces for sale but I have no confidence whatsoever in the AG processs.
