Arrange for pickup/didn’t scan any code

I just had my first experience with selling an item and the buyer requested pickup. Everything went well concerning the transfer of the item and I received payment.  I didn’t realize I was supposed to scan a code on the buyers phone. I doubt the buyer knew based on our interactions. What should I do?

Go to

Seller Hub > Orders > Awaiting shipment

Locate the item, click Mark as shipped (even though you did not ship).

For future reference, if you offer Local Pickup, and the buyer selects it, s/he will receive a message from ebay with the QR-code, as well as a 6-digit code.  You scan the QR-code with your phone, or enter the 6-digit code into the transaction on your computer.
