An item I ordered is expected to be here but hasn't been shipped...

I ordered a large item that hasn't been shipped yet. It's expected to be here in a few days and it's something I am really anticipating and need. I have had a problem with mail not showing up here and/or being stolen from the mailbox. The seller is listed as "US" but the I think the item could've originated in China.

I'm worried that the seller won't ship the item. Contacting eBay on the phone is not always helpful for me. How do I activate the Live Chat function instead? For me, that's a better option for support.

eBay in the US does not have live chat, but you do not need live chat to resolve your issue.

First of all, your item isn't overdue yet, so there is really no action you can take at this point.

You have to allow your package time to arrive.

Furthermore, at this particular time, eBay is advising buyers to allow a little more time for the package to arrive due to the current situation.

You're worried that the seller will not ship the item, so I am guessing that, so far, you see no tracking proving shipping.

Give the package at least 4-5 days to arrive before taking any drastic measures.  If/when you do not have it by then, you can open an item not received case.

Have you read the Money Back Guarantee? If not, now, while you are awaiting your purchase, would be a good time to familiarize yourself with the protection offered by eBay in case a transaction goes awry.
