There's no advanced search option near the search box on any page on this Iphone 11pro.  Is the problem

in the phone set up or can someone tell me how to bring it up?  I need the advanced option of searching minus certain terms that flood the results.

In order to use the Advanced Search page, you must use a browser (not the app) and request the desktop site version of the page.

But if you just want to exclude certain results by keyword, you do not actually need to use the advanced search page for that.

Using a browser or the eBay app, you can exclude results by keyword simply by putting a minus sign in front of keywords you want to exclude.

So if you are searching for widgets, but you do not want to see any results with red in the title or item specifics try the following search keywords:

widget -red

Using exclusions will have some side effects. Exclusions will prevent automatic category navigation, so you may have to manually choose your category. And exclusions will also prevent keyword substitution, so some results that contain synonyms of your keywords may not appear by default.
