Account Suspension

I've sold on a small scale on another eBay account for over ten years.  On June 6 i tried and failed to create a new listing, getting an error message that had no bearing on the issue, "We looked everywhere . . ."  An eBay customer rep. advised some work was underway that might explain the issue and that he'd refer the matter to "technicians".  He said I should try again in 24 to 48 hours.  After 48 hours had passed, I tried to list my item again, and again I got the same error message.  The customer service representative I spoke to on June 8 made the same excuse, said he'd open a trouble ticket to pass on to the 'technicians,' and instructed me to try again in 24 to 72 hours.  Well, 72 hours passed with no resolution of the problem.  Today, I learned the customer service number at eBay has been disconnected.  I tried a dialogue with an expert seller and the chat feature.  The expert tried to be helpful, but the chat feature was utterly useless.

eBay has been getting worse for a while from my point-of-view, but this experience prompted me to end my current listings and attempt to close my account.  When I tried to close the account, I was advised it'd been suspended.  Contrary to eBay's assertion that I would receive a message informing me of the suspension, I received no message.  My account is paid up and, as far as I can tell, nothing I've done (or not done) can explain eBay's action.  It seems impossible to reach anyone at eBay capable of resolving the issue.  Any suggestions?

@rouleur   Just like the Expert Seller Chat members here can not access accounts.

I don't know why you'd receive that message.  Sometimes accounts can be suspended if another account is associated with the same ISP address that is also suspended.

The best way to contact customer service is social media as the agents are more experienced.

Contact customer service by selecting a contact method from the bottom of a help page, chat or call back are available for most topics :
https://www.ebay.com/help/home

If you are using a cell phone turn off the spam filter or it may block the call back

Or you can also contact customer service by sending a private message on social media. You leave a message and an eBay employee will get back to you as soon as possible. To speed things up you can leave your registered account information in the PRIVATE message: Full name, address, phone number, email address, user ID, and a brief explanation of your problem.
