Washington originally wanted a 6 pointed start. Besty ross cut it into 5 with one snip. It's not ross, so what is it?

Found nothing under Betsy Ross or vintage/old scissors. But Betsy Ross is the immediate reference - now when we figure out the other 5 degrees of separation............

betsy ross is actually false history they recently found out it was actually a women named mary pickersgill who made the first flag and it had nothing to do with betsy ross. Its just that there are so many years of false history its hard to get people to start qouteing the truth

Cut a five-pointed star in a single snip (1776)

George Washington appeared at Mrs. Ross' doorstep around the 1st of June in 1776, with two members of Congress. They asked her to make a flag from a rough drawing. At Mrs. Ross' suggestion, Washington drew the flag design to have a 5-pointed star instead of the 6-pointed star on the original drawing.
