Does the handle depress? Does it cause the blade at the bottom to spin? Does the blade stay at the bottom or does it go towards the top? Does the stem have a wire that twists down the stem? What do you think that functions?

If you hold the handle you can push and pull the small wood piece back and forth spinning the basket.  The blade does not spin or move.

Does the basket part open at all? I'm picturing something like wood balls inside like a kid's noise maker.
