What went wrong with bakelite and Amber?

Did I miss the memo? Most of the Amber & bakelite auctions are written as the 2 being one and the same. One is plastic, one is tree sap both have a very

distinct testing method for being a true test. You cant have both combined and proven test results, whats up?

I did a search and you're right, both words come up in a lot of listings.  Some clearly indicate in the description that the item is amber colored bakelite.  Some have a ? as if they don't  know which material it is.  I suspect in many cases this is a disingenuous attempt to use both words in order to double the number of times their item comes up in searches.

You may be right about the use of both words for search. Just seems to me it would confuse the buyer as what they are getting since we as dealers are expected to be informed as to what we sell them. May be Im just old and expect to much from the human race. Smiley LOL
