She told me she had lost it years ago and could never find it. 14k plum gold - Anyone know what the GJ mark is? Stone looks pitch black. Onyx and diamonds? Any info is greatly appreciated.

I believe the 14KP means gold plate.

The P stands for plumb, meaning it's actually solid 14k where some things labled 14k may actually be 35.5k.

The ring is probably everything you described in the beginning. The plumb marks (most) 1920s - 1940s Just a guess black Onyx with Diamonds, deco. The cut of the Diamonds will give off a clue as well, the smaller the table top (flat part of stone ) the older the cut. Unless they are mine cut.
