Keep your listing drafts longer

What you need to know

We’ve changed the way draft listings are saved. In the past, a draft would be saved for 75 days after its creation, even if you made changes to it. Now when you make a change, you’ll have 75 days from that point onward before it’s no longer available.

You can save up to 250 drafts through the quick listing tool on eBay.com and the eBay mobile app, and up to 5,000 through the single and bulk business listing tools in Seller Hub. Learn more

Next steps

You don’t have to take any action; this update is already available to you.

FAQs

When will my drafts be deleted?

If you don't make changes to your drafts within 75 days of creating them, they will be automatically deleted. You can see how much time you have left before your draft is deleted by checking the Expiration date column on the Manage drafts page.

Greatest update ever - no fee increase and other then the drafts thing, no changes that affects us.

So if we edit a draft every 70 days it will never go away?

There was a fee increase.  The per transaction fee is moving from the 30 cents we currently pay to 40 cents per transaction.  Fortunately it is an increase most of us will be able to tolerate.

Consider yourself lucky. FVF's are going up on dot ca in Trading Cards, Media which we guess would include CD's. DVD's, LPs, Cassettes & Software??, Digital Games?? etc + In car technology, GPS & Security. Media was not clarified in the announcement. Plus we get the bonus up charge for listings over 10.00 . Plus letter rates are going up in Canada in the first week of May. Full excitement below.

Updates to fees & financials

  • We’re invested in building a vibrant marketplace that simplifies selling and helps you reach more buyers, but with rising costs in the market we've made an adjustment to the per-order fee for orders over $10.00.
  • To more closely align fees between Canadian and US sellers, we're updating final value fees in select categories.

Based on the last three months, another $3.50 a month. Not a problem.

Never notice it because we didn't open/check the updates to fees & financials one - Forgot that ebay rewords things, like the sold items being called 'order' - didn't realize ebay calls the managed payment transaction fixed fee the 'per order fee' - wonder what they call the percentage one.

When you have a chance, share with us what fee increases you are getting in Canada.  It sounds like from the statement made by Ebay  Canada was paying lower fees than the US are.

FVF = Final Value Fees I think is a term Ebay has always used or at least they have used it for a couple of decades.

The fixed transaction fee is the same as the one that PayPal charged sellers when they were our processor.
