Active Content Question For 2017 Update

For the 2016 spring update, eBay states that by fall 2017, all active content will be blocked. So what about GIFs? I use gifs to show a 360 degree view of some products and to also show customers how to use a product, a gif makes it very easy for a customer to know excatly how to use some of our products. I hope this will not really go into effect because i think gifs are a great solution for some products to enagage and inform the customer of the product... Can someone please clarify this new rule that will take effect 2017?

An animated GIF image is not active content. It is simply an image with many frames.
