Sellers in MP have a CHOICE.  They can choose pay for the shipping expense from their MP account or from their PP account.  Seller's choice.  This option appears on EVERY label that sellers create in the Ebay system IF the seller is in MP.

Many sellers open a separate checking account to accommodate their online sales.  It makes bookkeeping much easier.  And for those concerned about Ebay seeing or messing with your personal bank account, it removes that concern as well.

They are not removing Pay Pal as a payment option, buyer can still pay using Pay Pal.

I still ship same or next day and use the pending funds to cover the shipping.

I 100 percent agree, all in further support for making it impossible

for anyone to profit from independent individual initiative.  Etsy just

gave notice to petition against and upcoming govt. bill requiring all

personal info to be posted in sales listings, among other intrusive and

controlling matters.

I have often wondered if all the "tech changes" are just ways to get

around limits and certain record keeping on overseas transfers of funds.

Pay some shill company or relative from some "web page design work" and who

knows how much you can transfer to NGO's, relatives or even militant groups.

In their perfect world, this could be how it works.

I've just used Ebay pretty much to swap around stuff, sell a guitar, buy a guitar, etc.

But I am taking a break from that until I see whatever destruction and confusion will

be caused by their latest changes.

eBay's CS is laughable. Just about every computer manufacturer builds decent computers. It's CS that will kill you. Ask Packard Bell.

I do not patron restaurants with poor CS so why stay here (which I didn't for all of you keyboard warriors in your mom's basement).

I agree.  I've been doing this for 20 years and PayPal has worked fine.  Just sayin' maybe eBay shouldn't have sold it back when.  If it isn't broke why fix it?

While I agree there may be new sellers to replace those leaving,
My concern is the caliber of these new sellers, and what they are selling.

We can not replace the 100% feedback… 5 or 10 or 20 year seller of diverse, interesting items.
The newbie is going to freak out at the first payment hold, return request or whatever speed bump they hit

We were ALL new sellers at some point.  There is no reason to believe that a new seller means they aren't or won't be a good seller.  It ONLY means they are new.

Most new sellers unfortunately don't read up on the rules and yes they get surprised when there money is held.  Clearly most have them got over it and stuck with Ebay.

This is the most disgusting and badly disguised 'change' they have ever made.  Oh yes, they made it sound so convenient....'Funds will now go directly into your bank account'.    Yes indeed... A WEEK AFTER WE HAVE BEEN PAID BY THE BUYER.   We all know why... they quietly invest the millions coming in, sit on it for a week, bingo massive  interest profits.  It's blatant manipulation, they know exactly what they're doing, stealing our $s for a week.  I'm gone...there are now many alternatives to eBay online, thank god for that!

I see what you mean.  It seems like the sellers who believe in and use MP want to argue (or put down) the sellers who are not happy with it, or question it.  Nothing good can come from that exchange.
