Tracking Issues

Here is my issue, the seller has not responded to any of my messages. The delivery is now 10 days over due, final delivery day was on the 11th. Ebay sent me a notice that the item was shipped ON the 11th with a UPS tracking number. I  managed to contact UPS on the phone. They verbally told me the delivery address and the name of the recipient. That is not my name or address, and I can not get anything in writing from ups with this information because my name is not on the shipping label. Ebay wants some kind of hard copy confirmation. I believe the seller intentionally, sent a bogus package to another address and told ebay that it was my purchase as ebay has been the only one to get any info from the seller.  If UPS eventually says they delivered the package, how do I prove that it was not delivered to my address. In feedbacks the seller has one that says package was lost in shipping from a previous sale. What happens now I have no confidence in this seller. Any help or insight is greatly appreciated.

What feedback did the seller have? How new was the seller?

It's an item not received...to open a claim. Item usually will show where item got mailed. Not your name and not your address...it's time to file for an item not received. Seller is probably mailing something on the 11th to someone else.

"eBay wants a hard copy confirmation". You don't have one.

I have filed a claim not received and asked for a refund that is when the seller "sent" a package

I now have an email from ups saying the delivery does not match my name or address how do I forward this email to my open case?

If it's been at least 96 hours since you opened that item not received case, why not just return to the case and ask eBay to step in?

Or, since you state it's now been mailed, you can wait awhile for it to arrive, but keep in mind that 30 day deadline for claiming INR.

I have given ebay proof that the tracking number the seller provided was bogus it was a ups tracking number for a different person at a different address. I found out where the item was delivered to and spoke with the person who received the item which was not what I had ordered. I provided written document from ups that this tracking number was not for me or my address. Ebay is believing the seller without proof grom the seller only his word, I am out 230.00 dollars. This seller has never answered 1 of my 6 messages. They have closed this case and I have no recourse. I asked them to get proof of a shipping document from the seller with my name and address to no availe. This is terrible. I am sorry for any of the good people on ebay but I will never do business again with the company.

You need a letter from the carrier stating that the package was not addressed to you, an email won't work.

Will ups do a letter it took me 2 phone calls and over an hour each call just to get an email from them
