I can offer more details if needed.I sold an item and the listing said no returns. The buyer doesn’t want the item and has been bullying me.They have way higher feedback than me.I said the auction said no returns but I will issue a refund once I receive the item back.
She then said I needed to send her $5 to ship the item back.I said it costs me $3 to ship it.I didn’t hear anything back but then got a message from eBay.
It was a request to refund because the buyer said item wasn’t as described.I have no idea how they were able to do that with no chance for me to have any recourse. They received the correct item.I was on the app and I could either accept the return or issue a refund.
My question is this.Do I still pay for return shipping if I give a full refund and want my item back? I have a feeling this person is a scammer.

In a nutshell, yes.
Because they filed a SNAD case you are going to need to accept the return and send them a return shipping label (if you want your item back).

If you want your item back, you need to accept the return and provide a return label.
If you don't want your item back, refund without return.
Whether or not it makes sense to pay to return should be pretty easy to figure out.

Tell your buyer to open a return request and then you can issue a return label. If the buyer doesn't use it you won't be charged. You don't need to send them money.
