I have two lots of vintage pillowcases listed on eBay right now. One has 4 pair of embroidered flower cases and one has 4 pair of crocheted edge cases. I have had so many retracted bids on them. None of my other items get those retractions but this whole time (about 6 days now) I've had them on, people have been bidding them up and then saying they keyed in wrong amount and one lot had a non-registered person bid on them. They bid them up to $50 or more then retract. Has anyone else had problems with that lately, especially on vintage pillowcases? thanks for help

I had that on stamps. Bidder had two different id's with same address. I blocked the bidder from further bidding before auctions ended. Had 24 retracted bids. He did this on a lot of my auctions. I checked what he sold and it was the same stuff I sold. But bidder won 2 auctions anyway. I discovered this when mailing lots out and notice the same address with different ID's. He basically got my stamps at a very low price. A bunch of retractions was a red light in my case. Luckily he won two and not all of them. We can block someone before the ending auction in 24 hours...this guy did retractions after midnight when I was sleeping.
Something I now know is you can have more than one account on eBay. Everyone is suppose to be honest here on eBay and use only one account for bidding but wasn't in my case this this bidder.

Between the two auctions, there have been a total of 5 retracted bids, BUT from only two members, both of whom bid on both auctions.
One of them was suspended after his bid retractions; it's not possible to place a bid or to retract one when you're NARU (Not a registered user). Since this member was suspended while the auction was active, eBay would have canceled those bids anyway if the member themselves had not retracted.
It's possible that both IDs are held by the same person. I'd put the zero-feedback ID on my blocked-bidder list regardless.
