Did you mean:

Dear eBay

I have absolutely HAD IT with this place... I can't close my account yet... but my listings are deleted. I changed my SSN, gave a fake bank account number that they can legitimately gripe about.  But no worries, no listings = no sales = no payouts!!  They wouldn't let me remove the credit card... no worries, card canceled.  Changed my email address and I'm good to go.  They have pushed me too far.   A customer canceled a sale, and ebay has the nerve to take (TAKE) .30 cents out of my account for something i had NO control over????  That's really the least of my problems...  I opened a checking account just for ebay and etsy... Etsy had no problem whatsoever verifying my bank account.  ebay on the other hand, couldn't seem to accept yes for an answer.  They'd been distributing payouts, TAKING .30 cents for something i had nothing to do with yet, they felt my account still wasn't verifiable?????  Screw you ebay!!  screw you to the nth degree... I have had enough.  I have been here since 2000, 21 years, and they can't verify my account???  Good Riddance.

Re: Dear eBay

If anything happens and one of your “happy” buyers wants a refund for whatever reason, and eBay cannot access your account, they will pay it out of pocket and then turn you over to collections. So it would have been prudent to leave your account intact until the return window has closed. Sorry things went bad for you.

Re: Dear eBay

You know, call me crazy, but i would just try and fix this 30 cent discrepancy and move on with life.   But that's just crazy me.

Re: Dear eBay

I'm so mad I can't see straight...however, I keep changing my name with every verification email they send me so my anger has subsided now that I'm annoying their computer program. You get your kicks where you can. Just a side note, I used a program to transfer my listings to etsy... It cost me $20 but we'll worth it not having to relist all of them.

Re: Dear eBay

@stevensgl

A few thoughts:

1) Twenty-one years is a long time. You've had a good run.  Sometimes, even great things end.  If you've been selling for twenty-one years, that means that, on balance, eBay has been good for you.

2) The $0.30 fee isn't so bad - PayPal was keeping much more for a cancelled transaction.  eBay is being pretty generous.

3) Sure, there are some challenges with signing up for MP, but most sellers have gotten it right, with little to no issues in the process.  Setup took me just a handful of minutes.  No issues with verification, no payout delays.

4) You are about a$50/month seller.  I think that both eBay and you will get over the termination of this relationship.

5) You aren't really done with eBay - you cared enough to rant to all of us.  My guess - you'll be back in about one month.

Re: Dear eBay

Oh wow. My frustration is that I could list,revise,sell,end..etc... Everything was going smoothly...I was even being paid! But I was being threatened that they would remove all my listings if I didn't verify my account! I finally got an actual supervisor last night on the phone and he was about as much help as joe biden, I just got even more ticked off and just unloaded all the colourful metaphors he could handle and then finally just hung up on him. I don't deal with illogical **bleep** very well. Nothing is broken, but they are determined to fix it anyway. Well good for them! I'm not giving them any more of me anymore.

Re: Dear eBay

Oh I certainly did change it.  Changed my bank account number too.  Went from Gina to "LOL" and from virginia to Texas. Their system is having a heck of a time trying to fit the pieces together.

Re: Dear eBay

Um. I have not been selling for 21 years. Only selling since 2013 or 14.. or maybe 15.  $50 a month seller? You aren't correct there either but do you always look down your nose at people less fortunate than you?  Maybe you should become a politician... The democrats would love you.  And no, I will not be back selling on ebay. Go eat some ice cream with old pelosi... You're pathetic.
