Generic Descriptions

Is it just me or has there been an increase in AWEFULLY generic descriptions especially in the clothing/accessories categories?

I haven't sold on eBay for a while but I'm a consistent buyer and these generic descriptions are just GARBAGE!

I'm buying from eBay NOT the J. Peterman catalog.

Instead, why not give me honest SELF-GENERATED descriptions and for CRYING OUTLOUD include measurements.

Generic Descriptions

No surprising to see a decrease in the effort to describe clothing, especially used clothing, to go along with the increase in listings and the drop in sales.

There are used items listed for more than the same item on the clearance section of the manufacturers website, with less detailed descriptions.

There are so many listings in the Musical Instrument categories that have little to no description of the item. It is annoying but sometimes you can still get good deals on these because it is a turn off for many buyers.

Since ebay came out with AI generated descriptions it seems most have gone down the tubes.  This allows lazy seller to do just what eBay use to tell them not to do.

The big catch words are "a must have" be it in clothing and collectibles, etc.   Out of 10 listings you will be lucky to find 2 that give you the information to make an informed decision on whether to buy it or not.  And then you get the lazy  "look at pictures for description".
