Targeted Harassment Reported

Hello!

As a new seller, I was targeted, and harassed by another seller regarding our footwear sales. I reported this harassment, after asking them to stop this repetitively. I'm a very OCD when it comes to cleaning my shoes, and I purchase shoes via professional auctions & clearing houses that assure all authentication. If I can't assure authenticity, I don't buy it.

The "harasser" reported me for fake shoes, two times. He was cyberstalking, and after his 2rd report, after I politely requested him to stop harassing me, he stated the following...

"That’s pretty sad that you sell fakes hope my report goes through and you
can’t sell i dont put up with people who sells overpriced fakes."

This was purposeful & he targeted at our tiny starter store. No clue as to why, but I don't want to know that. All shoes reported were high dollar shoes (over $100) we invested wisely in, as we sold more shoes over the past 3 months.  The seller had 1 item for sale. The seller has never sold a pair of shoes on Ebay.

Ebay has removed the seller, but I was not given any further information or instructions of how to qualify and/or relist the shoes, as their status was due to one bad actor that was "hope (-ing) my report goes through and you can’t sell" actively bent on hurting our business, by outing him/herself so blatantly.

My questions are:

1) What can we, as a seller do in this situation, to remove false allegations via harassment, and be able to relist the shoes that were used to target our store?

2) Are we just out of the cost for the shoes?

3) Is there any process we are unaware of for requesting the shoes be cleared/relisted, due to the bad actor/seller's harassment tactics?

4) Has anyone else experienced this, and if so, can you possibly give us some advice to get through this process as a seller?

Any/all advice (good & bad) would be very much appreciated. Thank you so much, in advance. 🙂

Cheers & happy Ebay selling!

@covetedcomics  Sorry this happened to you.

If these shoes were sent to the authentication center and failed then there is no way to appeal and you will have to sell them elsewhere.

"If my item doesn't pass authentication, can I appeal?

No, even if you have other proof of authentication, we are unable to validate any external evidence."

If they were just removed from the site but not sold yet as not authentic then you can try contacting eBay customer service to ask if you may relist.  Do not relist without the agent agreeing to reset the bots on the listing or they will just be removed again.

You can select the option to have eBay call you or chat from the left hand side of the screen on this linked page:

https://www.ebay.com/help/contact_us?id=4822&st=10

If you are using a cell phone turn off the spam filter or it may block the call back

2. Or you can also contact customer service by sending a private message on social media. You leave a message and an eBay employee will get back to you as soon as possible. To speed things up you can leave your registered account information in the PRIVATE message: Full name, address, phone number, email address, user ID, and a brief explanation of your problem.
