Indexing rules

Can I get some information about indexing rules, please? Since, I have problem with my items to show on search result not 24h, not 48h but 5 days and nothing. I'm beginning to wonder what to do to avoid adding products that don't show up?

@2swanz

You don't currently have any active listings, the last one ended March 11th.

If you thought you listed something after that what is the listing number?

You are a new seller and your FB indicates you have sold at least five cellphones in the past 45 days.

There are restrictions on the number and value of listings a new seller can have.

These restrictions are tighter in high value/high fraud categories --like phones.

This is meant as a Protection for both buyer and seller.

New sellers get scammed and are also likely to make a listing or shipping error that leads to huge problems.

Ask about the restrictions you face as a UK seller, shipping only domestically, on the UK Boards.

I see two items you have listed in the UK here:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/2swanz/m.html?_trksid=p3692

You are registered in the UK, but you are currently on the US ebay.com discussion boards.

Clear your ebay.com cookies, and sign back in to the ebay.co.uk UK site:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/

If you use your browser's autocomplete to enter addresses, clear your browser history or else you will likely be sent back to the .com site by your browser when you type "ebay" into the address bar.

Make sure you are not following any US ebay.com links or using any ebay.com bookmarks.

@2swanz, I can see 11 listings on eBay UK that are completed and sold, in just over a month. I also see 2 active listings on eBay UK. None of them can be seen on eBay USA because you didn't set shipping costs to the USA for these phones. So if you're searching for them here, where you're asking for help, you're not going to find them here.

If there are any other listings that should be showing up, but aren't, nobody is going to be able to help you with them unless you provide some item numbers for listings that don't get indexed. Obviously, if they aren't indexed, then we can't find them to investigate what would be causing that.

I'm already have been scammed. 9 items sold and:

1x auction not pay

1x I didnt include that tablet have 'no 4G' because don't have it, and I lost some money because afraid of my reputaion

1x try to get some accessories or money because I sold phone without it (as on description)

1x the same story.... but this buyer is professional seller and try to catch me on  'turn phone on' so its definitely used. Funny because I working for retailer selling a phones, and we open it, put there our sim card and selling as 'brand new'.

A non-paying buyer is an annoyance, not a scam.

I hope you opened an Unpaid Item Dispute in the Resolution Centre at the bottom of this page.

That gives the deadbeat a Strike which will make it harder to buy on eBay in future and prevents him from leaving feedback. You get your Final Value Fees (FVF) and can relist.

You can also used Fixed Price/Immediate Payment Required, which leaves the listing up indefinitely or until someone actually pays for it.

When a buyer demands something that is not there, that is a form of extortion and can be Reported. More easily though, ask the buyer to open a Dispute (scammers won't) and return the item for a full refund.

While you may have to pay for the return, you then have the item to resell, with an improved description.

There are no "rules".

In my experience, 90%+ of the people who post here about not finding their item are either mistaken, or the reason can be explained.

If you have an item number you would like us to search for, please let us know. Otherwise, all you will get is speculation about the dozens of possible reasons.
