My order was delivered by FedEx on Feb. 16, but to the wrong address. The driver left the package on the front steps and sent me a photo of the package sitting on the steps. But it shows the wrong house. Fedex and eBay say the package was delivered to me. I contacted the shipper and you can only convers with their robot. It would not give you any information unless you give the tracking number. When you do that, it tells you the package was delivered, and end of the conversation. I also contacted the seller who replied that will check into the matter. That was 5 days ago, and nothing. How do I get my package or a refund? I don't know what else I can do. Everybody tells me that package was delivered. But I don't have it.

Your issue is with FEDEX and the seller. Ebay will not help.

FEDEX Ground is IMO the worst common carrier in many areas of the country, their independent contractors do not care, and do not do their job in a responsible manner.

Remember, that if you used a credit card to pay, you may be able to open a chargeback dispute if you do it in a timely manner.

It sounds like you may have been the victim of a fake tracking scam. Read the info I posted in the link below to learn how to deal with it, by clicking on the Go to Best answer button. When dealing with FedEx if you cal them and tell the rep the package tracking on my order form has my address on it, tell them what it is then ask if the label address matches. If they say no ask if they will send you an email to that effect. When dealing with store clerks don't get agitated, they have to follow company policies and may not understand what you are describing.

In the cases where the parcel was INTENTIONALLY sent to a different address by the seller, eBay needs to start helping victims. eBay knows what is going on. If the parcel was not mis-delivered, FedEx is doing their job by delivering it to the address on the label.

If I am a buyer victim of a "fake tracking scam" I know what to do only because I read these forums, and have been following the problem for years. The first time victim only knows they didn't get their parcel, and proceeds to file INR only to be denied by this platform auto bots and the regular customer service. It is getting tiring and should be an embarrassment to eBay as it continues to get worse.

If that actually isn't your package -- wrong weight showing at the FedEx website, too large, too small, etc.

Item came from Pakistan?....feedbacks mentioned other buyers never got their items as well.

Sounds like the seller knew what they were doing.

I don't know why eBay keeps letting sellers with bad feedback continue to sell.

Go online and dispute with your debit for credit card...and don't go into too much detail online about what happened...

Thanks for that screen shot. It looks like at least PayPal is taking a step in the right direction. It is my understanding that PayPal submits the claim to the merchant of record, which in this case is eBay not the seller. So I am just thinking:

If the FedEx label was NOT purchased on eBay, then eBay is not going to have a record of same and eBay (thus the seller) will lose?

or

If the FedEx label WAS purchased on eBay, and the address altered after the fact on the PDF file, would eBay have record of the original label, not the altered one used on the package? Would the claimant then lose?

In the past we have seen screen shots of the "original" eBay labels, and how they differ from the ones that were actually attached to the package that was delivered elsewhere.

The italicized text is what a seller still taking payments at PayPal for non-eBay sales sees when their buyer claims "The item was delivered to the wrong shipping address" in an item not received case on PayPal. So eBay would see that too, but is likely not prepared to respond with a copy of the actual shipping label.

"eBay Commerce Inc." is the seller on PayPal, just like we were sellers on PayPal when we took payments directly at PayPal. eBay is never the merchant of record.

A “merchant of record” is the entity that is legally authorized and responsible for processing credit card, debit card, and digital wallet transactions for goods or services on behalf of a business i.e. Adyen, PayPal.

It's an "I haven’t received the item or service" item not received case at PayPal, which translates to an INR payment dispute at eBay for which eBay only asks the seller for the tracking number.

No, that won't work.

FedEx QA will relabel the altered address, to revert it back to the original address.
