WOW.. no ebay phone support

Think ill take break to sell. AND UP prices high to discourage bid til they end for the month til it they comes back. I don't always like to rely on online response and perfer to have phone in case situations arise. I guess asia was really affected.

They should at least put more REMOTE LIVE CHATS if they don't have call ins.

Buyer left neutral feedback in a positive remark. EBAY WONT REMOVE IT. sd-brightis 

 

I'm curious if they gave a reason  for not removing it ?  I just received my first negative feedback in years   from a buyer  because I didn't bow down to their demand  for free stuff  AFTER I offered them a full refund upon return.  I'd prefer e bay remove it  too ..  Not sure it will help to call .  Tulips

I'm unsure as to what you feel I am wrong about.  But if it is the availability of customer service.  We can all get to them if we need to.  I get it that it was easy to just call the call center.  That just isn't available now.  I know that for some this is quite upsetting.  We just need to respect that for now, things are a bit different.  It just may take a little extra effort on our part to get to a customer service rep.

YES they should have live chats if no telephone. I came across strongly suspected FRAUDULENT USE of FDA logo on an item. Since no telephone support, I contacted the FDA directly. Should the FDA determine the logo was used to claim endorsement of an item, eBay will hear and feel the weight of the FDA.

eBay is creating problems for itself by not having REAL TIME support !

Where did you read about this?  Would you mind providing a link so we can all be updated on this subject.  As far as I'm aware, as I said earlier in this thread, there were a few work from home CSRs, but only a few in specific areas.  If you know of more information, I hope you decide to share.

I wouldn't waste my time over that...

I get them too, and I don't care.

First as has been mentioned your neutral is so soft few will notice, also it comes off within one year.

A feedback revision leaves a mark that stays forever.

 

Last but not least, no customer support affects buyers also.

Ok, I moved past this for now. Found an occasional live ebay chat now. Currently USPS has 2 items that havent been moving or updating tracking for more than a week.

Smaller companies than this have maintained phone support LOL theres no excuse shut your mouth

You may find it hard to believe but with some simple software it is totally easy to have both your "office" computer and your "office" telephone at home.  There was no reason to shut down the call center at all.  Thousands of businesses have switched to this model.  I suspect eBay is making a killing in this time.  They are not charging any less as far as I can tell, and they are not paying a lot of people.  This adds up to a lot more money in their pockets.  I have worked for tiny startups and had my office at home as well as an F500 company.  If I had my notebook and a headset, I had my office.  Ebay has left people with NO way to contact them.  This is the situation I am in.  If I try the internet, it goes to mail and than tells me that channel is not available.  If I go to the phone after being transferred it directs me back at the internet and I am back to this channel is not available.  Thank you very much.  I have resorted to filing a claim with the BBB and my states department of consumer affairs.  Perhaps one of them can get through to eBay case I sure can't.  I only hope they need to spend as much time dealing with **bleep** paperwork as I have wasted trying to get through to them.

There is no reason for eBay to STILL have absolutely no phone support, when most of the people returned to work and most of the businesses are back working. I'm working and all the other sellers on these forums are working too. At least have the agents work remotely, preferably in the US, what's the big deal? I understand the pandemic, however this is just an excuse, why are other companies able to do it and eBay can't? I'm paying eBay the same fees for less service offered!

Ebay does have some phone support, but as previously stated, it is NOT the only way to get to customer service.
