Policy violation warning

I used a manufacturer’s picture for an item I just bought and was reselling.  Apparently that is a no-no.  The items were deleted.  All that is fine. But I have this highlighted red notification that won’t go away.  Does anyone know how to get rid of this.  I tried to search for the answer but couldn’t find it.  Thanks

Re: Policy violation warning

There should be an "x" in the top right of the red notification that closes it. Also you may have to manually remove the auction or listing that was flagged.

Thank you.  No “X”.  The items have been removed.   Still there.  ☹️

Re: Policy violation warning

So you got a VERO violation for a picture you weren't suppose to use.  When you go to list your items again, be safe and just create a new listing with your own picture on it.

As for the red flag.  I'm unsure how long it will be there.  You can contact Ebay and ask them to remove it or at least tell you how long it will be visible.

I would suggest that you contact Ebay for Business on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter for the better trained CSRs.

Here are your options for contacting Ebay Customer Service.  Please be aware that for social media CS, you send them a Private Message and briefly explain what your problem or issue is.  Feel free to leave your Name, address, phone number and/or your email address in this message.  It is private and secure and it may help to speed up the response for you.

https://twitter.com/askebay

https://www.facebook.com/eBay/

https://www.instagram.com/ebayforsellers/

Your options will be on the left.  If you use the link below you can only get to the Automated Assistant or Chat box type AGENT in the box and hit enter. You will then get more options.  Not all options are available 24/7.  It will depend on staffing available.  So sometimes you can request a call back and sometimes you can't.  Sometimes you have the Chat option available and other times it won't me.  If it is important to you to use one of those options, just try back later.

If you use a cell phone or other mobile device, you may need to turn off your Spam filter so that Ebay can call you.

If you are a seller outside of the US or Canada, you will need to use the Chat Option.

Re: Policy violation warning

I also have that red notification for a listing ebay found offensive. It was an historical engraving of a slave ship. I don't argue with ebay...waste if time. I also tried to get rid of it. It won't go away. That said, I have ended items myself that have gone away in 30 days so I'm assuming the red notification will also go away in 30 days.

Re: Policy violation warning

That screenshot looks like it's being shown in the OP's active listings page and not their sold or unsold pages. If so, can I assume that ebay somehow thinks that those listings are currently active and not ended?

@allthingsbrooklyn what page in your ebay is that banner for you?

Re: Policy violation warning

If I click on the dots on the right it says listing is not available or has been removed.

Re: Policy violation warning

It will go away in time. Just ignore it as there is no way to 'hurry' the 'go away'.

Re: Policy violation warning

Bah humbug!  I am OCD about a “clean” page.  This is going to have me twitchy till it’s gone.  Thanks for the help.
