BUYERS can use PayPal to pay.  Sellers do not get payments to their PayPal accounts.

Pay Pal hasn't been an option for sellers for a few years now.

No, Ebay isn't a bank, but you'll need a checking account through a bank if you want to get paid.

You also need to provide yoir SSN.

They don't claim to be a bank........money is transferred into YOUR bank........therefore they need your bank account #. 

Some sellers set up a bank account only for Ebay.......

But without one, you can't sell on Ebay...........

it 'bypasses' nothing, without entering your bank info and ss, you wont get paid.

This is against the rules and you will be shut down.  Every single person who sells here has provided checking account information.  It is no big deal.  Payments are made by the buyer, they are processed, and then deposited into your account weekly or daily (your choice).  It really is quite simple and I no reason for you to try and get around this fact.

I think the OP is alluding to having the buyer pay thru PayPal which will of course get him/her shutdown.

If you have a buyer asking for your PayPal email address, you don't have a real BUYER.  What you have is the typical "text me" scammer that will proceed to send you a phony notification that you have been paid in hopes you don't know any better and will ship the product.  

You can report such right on the message page itself under the ACTION tab.

Why would you list and sell before enrolling in Managed Payments? All thats going to do is hold your payments up even longer. Doesnt matter how long you've been on Ebay, without a recent sales history your payments will be held. Millions of sellers are now enrolled in MP, with no problems, Im one of them. And ive been selling here longer than you, 25 years. And I like MP.
