Apparantly, this buyer had a broken PC motherboard(MB) identical to mine. So bought my MB on Ebay, received it, waited
a few days, then claimed "the Mobio is not working .. In fact upon arrival I noticed the CPU pins where bent on the corners
compared to what it should look like .. I still assumed that may just be a flaw in that particular board and assumed it
would not be a factor - sure enough to the MOBO generates codes not allowing for a boot." Buyer denied any damage
during shipping.
So I informed the buyer I was an A+ Certified PC Tech & MCSE (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer) with over 20 year
experience working on PC's, servers, networks, etc. & that I personally packed & shipped that MB & there was NO damage
of any kind. I also told him I had a 15 year history with Ebay with 946 100% feedbacks. He responded he had 100% feedback
also. He failed to mention he had only 23 AND that sellers can't leave negative feedback for buyers!!
In his response he said "I too have personally built quit a few systems so this is not my first rodeo." Yeah. right Einstein.
That's why you claim you spotted bent CPU pins and "assumed that may just be a flaw.....and assmed it would not be factor"
and then installed a CPU & powered up the MB. Right!
I told the idiot that I had a fellow tech with over 30 years experience double check me as I prepared the MB & packed it for
shipping. He responded with this beauty; "I too had my assistant present and noticed the bent pins upon opening the
package together and .....could not believe it - As mentioned before we were being optimistic and believed it could of
been part of the design..." So now you have an assistant & you didn't think it was "flawed" as you said earlier; you & your
expert assistant thought mangled & bent CPU pins "could of been part of the design..." so you placed a CPU on the
damaged CPU pins, locked it down & powered up the MB.
Oh yeah, that sounds like the actions of a guy who "personally built quit a few systems".
He then says further "however when we compared it to my original MOBO it was clear the pins came damaged."
Yeah. So he admits he already had another MOBO. Obviously he had bent the CPU pins on his MOBO & planned to ship
it to me & keep mine.
Then he says "I have zero personal gain to falsify that I purchased a damaged product not described as sold." Moron.
Except you steal my MB & get 100% of your money back from Ebay.
I pointed all this out to Ebay Resolution reps & provided them pics & they refunded the idiot's money anyway. I was fortunate
that I had transferred his payment out of Paypal already. Ebay informed me that my 15 year history with them & 100% rating
with 946 feedbacks was meaningless as they always take the buyer's side even though he has only 23 feedbacks.
Before sending me his broken MB, the guy uploaded a pic of bent CPU pins from some MB like mine & claimed it was the one
I sold him. The MB he returned was not only NOT the one I sold him, but it wasn't the same one as in the pic he uploaded to
Ebay! (His pic is a .png named buyer.png & the pic of the MB he sent me is return.jpg.) I showed those pics to Ebay as well.
They didn't care. Facts, truth, years of service, 946 feedbacks, 100% positive, etc. mean nothing to Ebay.
I just called Ebay & gave them one more chance to lift the suspension on my account, remove that idiot's negative feedback,
& quit sending me notices asking to pay them the money they stupidly refunded that crook. They said no. So I'm quitting Ebay.
I told them that if this is their policy, they need to flash this on the screen as soon as a member hits the "Sell an item" icon;
****WARNING TO SELLERS ON EBAY****
BUYERS OF YOUR ITEM CAN LIE & CLAIM YOU SHIPPED THEM A BROKEN ITEM; THEY WILL BE ALLOWED TO KEEP YOUR
ITEM & RETURN A BOX WITH A BROKEN ITEM LIKE YOURS(OR NOTHING AT ALL) INSIDE. THEN YOU WILL BE REQUIRED
TO REFUND THEIR FULL PURCHASE PRICE, SHIPPING, AND RETURN SHIPPING. AND OH YEAH, YOU CAN'T LEAVE THE
DIRTBAGS NEGATIVE FEEDBACK LIKE THEY DO FOR YOU. CAUSE HERE AT EBAY, THAT'S HOW WE ROLL.

Your right about the the theives but the real theives are working for ebay. I had this listing removed after I bought it. No explaination for the removal. I was told I had to wait a month to file a claim. Ebay and paypal are keeping my money though. Who is the real theif the company that condones and lets these theives in or the thief themselves?

They steal from the buyers as well. I actually did have a damaged item with proof. Due to poor packaging. I sure did not get a refund. I got rude obnoxious ebay service telling me too bad. Yes I am 100 percenter and have being buying 12 years.

You are responding to a year old thread...

Just lost 100$ to a lying scumbag buyer and he left me malicious negative feedback. all my expensive stuff will go to the other website and won't be shopping here any longer, rather pay more than support such a company as this one.
How is it legal for them to give your money or your items away?

That's a fabulous idea, except, it would take a lot of manpower and bucks to get a system like that set up and no other online site offers such a service either. Internet selling EVERYWHERE has built in risk factors that are almost impossible to avoid when they turn into thievery. EXCEPT, and you must know this, that Ebay's high value claims department have been doing some fine work here for people with high end scams. Several were discussed on other threads recently, and one of these scam artists I believe got caught and thrown off the site recently.

@dissolvesystemworks wrote:i have an idea thou, MAYBE ebay should hire a 3rd party. we ship the itrems to them, they check the item we shipped against the discription, and if all is well they ship it out so its IMPOSSIABLE for a buyer to claim any **bleep** like this.
Under your proposed system:
- the cost of shipping is doubled
- the shipping time is twice as long
- buyers no longer have a money back guarantee
- a third party unpacksa, tests, assumes liability, repacks, and reships
There are already 1 billion listings on eBay right now, far more that the current level of buying will support.
Why in the world would eBay foot the bill for a system that drives up shipping costs, drives up item costs, slows delivery, and deters buyers?

@matchboxsuperfast2023, when eBay removes a listing, you no longer have an estimated delivery date.
Look at your order Details page at eBay: On your Purchase history page, click More actions, then View order details.
Right at the top, do you see No estimate available like this:
