Question before listing item is it Red Wing or Royal China?

I was told this snail planter was made by Red Wing Pottery and is number 920 snail planter, but it is stamped Royal China so I am confused? It is stamped USA also. Can somebody help? Thanks.

redwing and royal china were not related.  royal china was the company who applied the gold decoration.

Warman's Red Wing book says Red Wing used to give away or sell molds once they were retired, so maybe that's what happened.

This shape is in the Warman's book, though.

It is marked USA which is common for this Red Wing mold also. I live in Minnesota so I tend to believe Red Wing also. Thanks.

Please don't list it as Red Wing if they only made the mold. They had no control over what came out of Royal China.
