eBay charging my bank acct for shipping but not depositing payment not in PayPal acct. either

Once you've migrated to Managed Payments, you'll never have funds deposited into PayPal again. And, yes... your shipping might be paid with your attached bank account (that's how I ship), but can be changed at the bottom of the label page if you prefer that they be paid with your 'Processing' funds. In MP when you create a shipping label, you have a choice at the bottom of the form, just before the Purchase button.  You can decide to have the funds taken from your MP account or your PP account.  It auto defaults to your PP account.  But if you change it to MP, it will default to that until such time that you change it again.

Now when your PP account is used, it will depend on how you have your PP account set up for shipping.  It could pull from money you have in PP, your bank account or a CC.  Sounds like you have your PP account set up to pull from your Checking account.
