A Doll A Day, please join!

Hi, thought it would be fun to do a doll a day.  Please join!  Every day, post one of your dolls.  It can be obscure, popular or only you love it.  Tell us who it is, who made it, a little bit about it and why you love it!  Only one a day and we can go on forever!....terri

Thanks, deja!

I found the vintage voile at a doll show..I always head for those fabric sellers first thing!

I used a vintage Sweet Sue dress pattern... but... ahm.. I always make the skirts fuller than the patterns call for, and the ruffled collar was my own idea as well... Under all that she has a slip and matching panties from the same set of patterns.

The only problem with taking off on such flights of fancy is that sometimes the reality doesn't translate well.. I can run into technical construction issues that weren't anticipated *cough*.

But this time, all's well that ends well.  B-)

I got this cute Bonomi doll recently....she looks rather disgusted at having to wear a Daisy Kingdom dress (velcro closures, oh the horror!). But. Since she came to me in pieces I told her to just pull herself together and deal with it for now. :^O

Happy Valentine's Day!

This is a 14" MA Maggie... she was dressed like this when I got her.  I believe she was originally dressed as Beth from Little Women..

Re: A Doll A Day, please join!

Here are two celluloid dolls that I recently found new homes for. They are marked Japan and I believe they were carnival prizes from the 1930s.  With their pink coloring and sweet expressions, I thought they would be appropriate for today. I hope that everyone has a wonderful Valentine's Day! :-x

Please forgive me if I have posted little Ann Estelle before.  It's cold here in Pasadena finally and she looks very festive in her Valentine's ensemble.  Ready for the ski slopes....terri
