I sell lots of t-shirts and other vintage clothing.
I need a table that tells me what the dimensions of the clothing item must be to fit a person who wears a particular size.
ex. what should the chest measurement be for a men's t-shirt size L?
ex. what about a woman's blouse size S?
Size charts say, if your chest measurement is this, your shirt/blouse size is that.
I need information the other way around: a shirt with a 40" chest diameter is __ in women's shirts and __ in men's shirts.
Does such a thing exist anywhere

Alas, no. These are regular size charts.
They tell what size you need based on BODY measurements.
What I need is a chart that is based on GARMENT measurements.
What size corresponds to a GARMENT with a particular shoulder, chest or hip measurement, not what size corresponds to a PERSON with those measurements.

As a former eBay seller of vintage items including clothing, shoes, and accessories, I have never stated within the listing the "size." I only state the measurements of the garment/item in the listing because vintage sizes, especially in clothing were smaller than what the size is today. When I purchase vintage clothing items for myself, I check the measurements against what I know are my own measurements and allowing at least two (2) or more inches to allow for movement.
