Do they also cover lost in transit or tracking not showing delivered over a certain amount of time?
Or damage in transit only?
If they don't cover lost package, is there any insurance for that?

Same insurance.
If approved, damage claims cover the proven value of the item.
Loss covers the proven value of the item, and the postage paid.
Payments made by USPS for "lost" that later delivers may result in a "recovery of payment" attempt by USPS.

Insurance covers lost packages as well.

USPS officially considers a package lost after 21 days. Best to file a lost claim ahead of that, because then claim will be paid even if package shows up after the 21 days.

Thanks for all the responses. I just had a buyer message me saying he finally got his item, which I'd replaced, literally 3 months after I shipped it. Luckily it wasn't an expensive item but it's good to know about the timelines.
