How do I give myself a solution on my own thread?

How do you accept a "Solution" that you write on your own OP?
For instance the post "3 thousand dollar fake courier scam". The solution was the poster's comment. They have 7 posts and 1 solution for answering their own post.
Is that how the members here get so many solutions?

I realize that. I was trying to be funny but it's hard to read sarcasm on a computer.

Re: How do I give myself a solution on my own thread?

I had to keep looking for the solution to my problem. Posted it as my solution after someone in CS finally helped in case I had the same problem.

Doesn't it let you choose more than one ? I am sure I have seen posts with more than one selected

That makes sense.

Frankly, I wonder why people bother asking the question if they think that they already have the answer to their own question.

Don't think I have ever seen that.  May seem like 2 because the solution post gets repeated at the start of the thread as well as showing in the sequence posted.

Don't believe that it is possible.

I don't see that but I've seen it post the solution several times.

I was joking in my previous reply. But I have to watch that because some may not think it's funny.

I knew I'd get at least one... I didn't know how they did it. That's why I asked the question.

Oh cool! I can get more solutions on my profile. It looks like I don't know anything about Ebay because I only have 1 after being on Ebay for 11 yrs. *sarcasm

Thanks all for letting me know!

p.s. To all the condescending posters: I know what you're going to say.... You don't. You've been buying & selling here long enough that you should know all this. You should have more solutions and answers after being here for this long.

The number of solutions on a profile is not a measure of one’s value in the community.

I agree.  A few weeks back I read a thread where Mr_Lincoln said it was and I didn't agree when I read it.  Not many choose a solution even if one was truly given.  Mentors have plenty of solutions because a question was asked and one person answered correctly.  So many other ways to measure value here!
