Keyword spamming is search manipulation and is not allowed (we can all agree on that).
Listing a wiper motor and throwing in the word (spatula) in the title would be considered key word spamming even though it's not a "keyword" that relates to the wiper motor at all. But, because it is a form of search manipulation (even though a bad one).
The same can be said for throwing in a (#13) (#16) (#25) (etc) at the end of each title. Which is not related to the listing, but could be considered a form of search manipulation. (ask somebody that searching for #16 gauge wire.)
Even though, that's not really the point. The point is a seller trying to skirt the Duplicate Listing Policy by throwing in an unrelated digit or two at the end of a title.

Evidently this is ok (1973-74 Topps Set-KAREEM ABDUL-JABBAR Basketball Card#50 id#1969/9/70/1972/73/8) as Ebay was kind enough to review it and let me know . Yes, I can type in -1972 so that his other zillion '70s cards doesn't come up.

Can someone define what keyword spamming IS, according to eBay. Give an example or two. Maybe a link?
I want to make sure I'm doing it right.

Keyword spamming is a form of search and browse manipulation where the seller includes unrelated keywords that have nothing to do with the item for sale so that the listing appears in many searches.

when there are over 350 pages of compatibility on a item that states one model year it is keyword spamming. also when in item specific such as manufacturer number that has hundreds of keywords it is keyword spamming.
