No customer name on Packing Slip or order receipt for local pickup

I have had a couple of local buyers who wanted to pick up their orders. When I went to print out the packing slip and order receipt there is no option to include their name or address. Why?

It's been quite awhile since I sold on eBay, so forgive me if this is a dumb question.

Why would anyone need a packing slip for a local pickup item?

I am wondering why anyone would use packing slips at all, let alone for a local pickup.

Waste of paper IMHO.

Some buyers want it as a receipt.  Some sellers want buyers to sign it as confirmation.  Ebay requires one to be signed if buyer forgets to bring their confirmation code.  With a shipment, carrier can use it to identify the sender/recipient, if the outside label is damaged.  It also provides space for your own ad, thank you note, or other information or instructions.

I was wondering that same thing.

I had a couple local pickups and there was no buyer name, address, phone number or anything. That whole section is blank.

We are a dental equipment store and we need to invoice the buyer so they have documentation for their warranty and the product can be tracked.

With all this information now missing, it's really causing us a problem.

I have to contact the buyer and get them to furnish this information before they are able to pick the product up.

Do the information show up on the preview screen?

Is your browser set to open PDF files with Adobe?

No, it does not. And yes I have tried the PDF file

The buyer's information used to be there until a few months ago.

I guess eBay figured the seller doesn't need that information since we aren't shipping it.

It would be nice to have the buyers name so you know who's picking it up, but in my case, I need all the information back for warranty paperwork that we have to track as a business.

Are you opening the simple packing slip (no prices) or the detailed packing slip (with the prices)?

Chrome also is notorious for switching back to its built in reader from Adobe, and ebay can be very sensitive about this.
