My eBay psycho buyer sent me a letter I have to sign for

So on January 7 I was awarded by eBay to give my buyer a partial refund for a blue Kamar devil due to I had picture proof that it wasn’t marked up when I sent it out to her. Before this she told me how perfect it was and how she was going to have it sitting on her shelf and I said thank you. Then on Wednesday she snapped at me saying it had manufacturer defects marks on the left side of the head which wasn’t there when I had it. So I looked through if I had a picture of the left side of the blue Kamar devil before I sent it to her and sure enough I did and it showed that it didn’t have any marks like in her pictures that she sent eBay . eBay told me on January 9 that once I give her the partial refund that I was done with her and the case would be closed. Then the buyer from what eBay recent  told me that my buyer filed an appeal for a full refund and eBay denied to grant her the full refund. Now my buyer is bashing me on her instagram and her fallowers are finding me on TikTok and YouTube and demanding that I refund her the rest of the money. I have my buyer blocked on eBay, instagram, TikTok and now she has sent me a letter that I have to sign for after she has been accusing me of scamming her. I have talked to eBay about this and eBay told me that she is not allowed to go outside of eBay to demand for a full refund after she has received a partial refund. I also did as eBay told me to be “Frank” and message her after unblocking her on eBay for her to message eBay and talk to eBay as eBay wants to talk to her to deal with this matter. I don’t know if I want to sign for a letter address from her cause now I’m afraid she’s trying to sue me for the rest of the money that eBay did not grant her to get. I asked eBay if they could get in contact with her and they said that they can’t the buyer has to message them and then they will resolve it. Also I asked eBay if they could do a curtisty refund out of eBay’s pocket to shut the buyer up and no answer from eBay except for them saying how sorry they are. eBay said that I could report if it gets way too bad to the local authorities. I don’t know what else I can do now but I’m talking to eBay a lot lately.

”… I also did as eBay told me to be “Frank” and message her after unblocking her on eBay for her to message eBay and talk to eBay as eBay wants to talk to her to deal with this matter.”

This bothered me even before i read the poor buyer’s post, which i found credible.

Above info from the OP’s opening post would be questionable advice from eBay. And is a questionable scenario from the OP.

First, what gain would come from contacting a blocked buyer, unblocking them to offer a “frank” opinion? That would only serve to fan the flames of an unhinged buyer, as the OP described.

eBay would not need a seller to unblock a buyer so the buyer could then contact eBay for a discussion (on a failed transaction).  The buyer block does not prevent them from contacting eBay!

And, eBay does not need a seller to inform the buyer to contact eBay. eBay would call the buyer directly if they wanted to talk to her. The whole thing is convoluted.

“…So I looked through if I had a picture of the left side of the blue Kamar devil before I sent it to her and sure enough I did and it showed that it didn’t have any marks like in her pictures that she sent eBay.”

Why wasn’t this photo in the listing? That would be more credible proof.

Now that the buyer has shown up to defend the OP's allegations, I have no idea who's telling the truth. Like someone upthread already said, this is a she-said he-said thing.  I'm curious to know how you are so sure that the OP's story is fake.

Because the OP got caught lying. There were no pictures of the one side of the figure in the listing. Because good sellers do NOT break the rules of eBay leaving retaliatory false positive feedback. Because good sellers do not act like a brain dead 6 year old making up stuff in feedback. Because I have personally experienced sellers who take pictures in a way to hide damage/missing pieces and do not describe things accurately.

Had this figure been so "pristine" then the seller would have shown many pictures, of all sides. But if a seller is trying to hide damage, then they try to cut photos down to just a few and hide the damage by not showing a full view of the item. That is not to say a seller with just a few pictures is purposely trying to cheat buyers, but one who is intent on dishonesty, certainly will not have many photos for a listing.

Yep-you got a massive psycho there. Do not respond to here letter. Report her to the authorities if she continues to stalk and harass you. This buyer is plain nuts.

You could also just refund the rest if you want to. That should stop the noise.

I do not now how this process works when you have granted a partial first. Not sure how you change it to a full refund with buyer having to return the merchandise. NO freebies to this nut.

How appropriate that she purchased a devil.

Have to ask? Did this buyer agree to a partial refund or what? If they did I think not in terms of bringing you to court about it. The judge will laugh at them.

It might make sense that the buyer would show up and continue their rant on here as well as other places IMO.

Exactly, vintagecraze50. A full refund, not a partial one, might have prevented any of the mess from occurring. Here it seems we have a partial refund happening, and neither party ends up happy. The OP comes on here and presents their case of what happened, and then the buyer presents their version and comes off as very believable in their defense of the OP's allegations. However the buyer did not answer any of the questions posed to them by another poster on this board with some answers that might have cleared some of this up. Who knows, maybe both parties are at fault for how they handled things.

With everything that's been said on this thread, it's hard to figure out who exactly suggested the idea of a partial refund, especially the confusing manner in which the OP's first sentence is worded.  Was it the seller, the buyer, or eBay who suggested it?   From the very start of this mess, if the buyer asked for a partial refund, that was a mistake.  If the seller offered a partial refund, then that was a bigger mistake.  If eBay suggested the idea of a partial refund, then eBay was wrong.  Right from the second there was any kind of a dispute over that winking devil's condition, it should have been nothing less than Return for a Full Refund Only. And move on.

I don't know, long form writing is not necessarily ranting, and they don't seem like they're ranting to me.  They're certainly not calling anyone "psycho" and whatever. Also note, the OP said they had photos of the left side of the devil's face before shipping it, so why DIDN'T they include it in the listing?

The buyer just made their reply at 7:30 last night.  The OP started the thread a full 24 hours before that, and hasn't answered any questions either.

Please confirm what actually happened after I read your post again and other comments in order to put this to rest.

Did you do a partial refund, or did you win an open case the buyer opened?

Re: My eBay psycho buyer sent me a letter I have to sign for

the seller posted a straight on photo in #3

The left side eye is in the wink position.

I would also have to entertain why the buyer did not ask questions prior to buying an expensive vintage item?

That's right, but when someone posts something like what the buyer posted early in the evening, you can almost rest assured they would be checking out the responses, at least every now and then, for longer than an hour.  They were asked some very relevant questions by someone about an hour after they posted and never responded.  Maybe they didn't want to answer those questions?  The OP has certainly disappeared as well.
