Seller claims item was not returned

What would you do in that scenario: a buyer returned the item - reason did not match description (seller sent a replica instead of an authentic item).  Seller accepted return, received package  and reported to eBay item is missing.   Thanks

Give us a bit more information, please. Are you the buyer? Is the seller trying to issue less than a full refund?

If the seller is TRS and offers (at least) 30-Day Returns, then the seller has the option to reduce the amount of the refund, if the item is returned in a 'de-valued' condition other than how it was sent. Are you the buyer, @giolinna, and is that what the seller is doing?

Did you sell them a replica item?  Or are they just claiming it's a replica? Then of course they're going to return the item. Did you describe it as a replica?  Last I heard replicas were a no no on ebay.  If they returned the replica they'll get a refund.

OP stated they were the buyer. They received a replica and returned it. Seller is claiming they got an empty box.
