I have a 3.75" tall cut glass bottle with a sterling lid and a natuaral fiber brush. It may be crystal because the bottom is very smooth and clear. I can find a lot of bottles with silver lids, but nothing with a brush. Nothing with the glass cut in this pattern too. The lid is marked sterling with either E.I.R or E.L.R after that. I'm hoping someone can help with that too. Thanks in advance.

I haven't posted in months, but I saw this and had to reply.
It is a paste jar.
If the top is sterling then the glass is most likely cut. I cannot tell from your pictures, the detail isn't clear. But it appears to be a zipper motif. You probably will not find the maker.
Hope this helps.

Thank you for your help. Very interesting to learn. Sorry about the pictures. My camera is going downhill for some reason. At least on the close ups. Thanks again.

I have one of those in my family and ours was for relish/pickles back in the day! When they used the vinegar and oil sets that are so beautiful! Our family has both that match. They are from the 1800's!!

This is a mucilage jar which is a type of paste.
