am i no longer able to use paypal

I do not want transactions going to my bank.   Someone else manages this and we split profits from this account.  am I no longer able to use PayPal?

Based on the message I got today, this is going to happen to everyone, if it has not already. It will cause problems for me, as I have often used PayPal's instant transfer method which gives me money on my card within seconds.

You don't have an option.  It's bank, or go sell elsewhere.

Do what some of us have done.  set up a new checking account just for ebay.

Pay Pal is no longer going to be an option for sellers.

To continue to sell here and get paid, you have to sign up for Managed Payments, providing your SSN and a checking account.

Here are your options now:

1. Send funds to a current checking account (it cannot be a savings account)

2. Send funds to a new checking account

3. Quit selling on ebay and find a different place

I made option 1 work. Some are making option 2 work. Some are choosing option 3. There are no right or wrong answers. It is whatever works for you.

You can complain all you want. There are pages and pages of complaints on this. It's happening.

Roll with it.

Once you sign up, your payments will go to your checking account. If you don't sign up, your ability to sell will be terminated.

Just an FYI, the name on the account is fully responsible for income taxes, be it via paypal or wherever.  Having monies going to an account with one name and then splitting profits isn't the best idea. It's a co-mingling of funds, which can become tricky, unless your married.

Then build a reserve because the Silicon Valley addictive elixir has run out.  Good riddance to the PayPal way, Managed Payments is 1000 times better.  I never liked the PayPal way, too risky.
