Fake fragrance

My wife bought a fragrance last year that has been determined to be fake. What can be done?

Too much time has passed if the transaction was last year.  PayPal allows 180 days to dispute a transaction. eBay only allows 30 days. 

I suppose, if the seller is still selling this Brand, that you contact them to report the seller. If it matters to them, they will have eBay take action. The process might be lengthy. If it’s a first offence, they may send a cease and desist order. They may restrict or suspend the sellers ability to list their product.  
That might be your only option to get some justice/restitution.

Also, I hope she discontinues using it. You never know what potentially toxic chemicals may be in it.

At this point your only hope is if you used a Discover or Amex credit card.

Your wife had 30 days past the delivery to open an item not as described case.

Failing that, she had 180 days to open a case with Paypal.

How did you determine it was not authentic? and why such a long time to question it ?

Before you attempt to report any seller please make sure you are 100% certain your allegations are correct

I asked a legit question. She didn’t open it during the lockdown. A condescending smartass answer is inappropriate. If that’s all you have to offer you should keep quiet.
