I had a buyer leave negative feedback for an item that had clearly written and pictured issues that was heavily discounted. i asked the buyer to return the item and revise the feedback since they had ordered by mistake. The buyer sent a request back asking for a free item in nicer condition that we do not have in exchange for a revised feedback. Ebay is telling me that it is not extortion to do that once feedback is left. If they ask before leaving feedback it is extortion. I do not see the difference. I had no negatives before this . I sell nothing but used auto parts and all have full pics and disclosures.

@oemspecialists I do consider that extortion since they asked for something for free in exchange for revising the feedback.
I recommend you try contacting eBay for Business on FB. I have sent other sellers there that had their feedback removed after the regular CS said they wouldn't remove it.

I was already told no once. I put a second written request in. Ebay changed it's feedback rules a couple days ago. This will only ding sellers. Buyers still cannot have negative feedback. Ebay has gone back to going against sellers and the buyer is always right.

@oemspecialists. The agents on eBay for business are US based and even when you have been told no by a regular CS agent they can and have over ruled that for other sellers.
Not saying it's a guarantee but it's your best chance.
Who told you that the rules just changed on feedback removal? I don't believe that's true. I can verify if there was a rule change or not when the community staff is back on Tuesday.
As a volunteer Mentor I try to keep on all of the policies and this would be news to me.
