Well, my apologies for your trouble. So no more from me.

Two things, you can change your notifictions so you don't get an email every time, and two, my grandfather, who was a scientist (with a lab) with a strong connection to Thos A Edison, prided himself in making coffee using lab equipment (set out on a table) esp when groups were in for a visit. I don't recognize any of those people.

Perhaps one of the men is Charles Edison.

You've got mail! Here's number 14.
More seriously, Are those coats in the background? If so, they look like heavy winter coats and there are lots of them. Winter time? An impromptu meeting in a lab or workshop? WWII era? I guess whatever was going on wasn't top secret if it was used on a postcard. Hmmmm

Discussions evolve here just like in real life. Sidebars produce results and keep the discussion evolving. Everyone is trying to solve your question.

Is there any particular reason that you think that the people in the photo are noteworthy?
Just the postcard paper alone is meaningless, I used to print photos on postcards for fun or family. The name Edison could, as others have suggested, just be a note about where it was...i'm curious as to why you think these people may be known to others; do they look like anyone to you? Was the photo source any indication?
