28 May 2021: Greetings to all coin & token collectors, where-ever you
might be. Heron is pleased to report acquisition of another 50 Pfennig

by a somewhat obscure place. However, it counts as nr 535:

Note: Mintage 1918 = 15,000.
Note: Minted by L. Christian Lauer, Nurnberg.
Note: The River Nagold flows through the city of Nagold.
700 to 450 BC - Early occupation by the Halstatt people.
1st Century AD - Romans occupied Nagold area.
C. 260 AD - The Alemanni people expelled the Romans.

Note: There is a bus station in Nagold. (this information supplied for
numismatic travelers that might happen to be in Stuttgart).
Note: Numista rarity index is 97. (This is a somewhat scarce item).
Note: This coin/token is NOT for sale. This information regarding an
addition to Heron's small accumulation is for sharing the joy

**It is always fun to add another item to the accumulation. Although
this item was designed as a war time emergency item without much
artistic design, it is a rather scarce item from a somewhat obscure
place. And it is right on a river! A fun item and a 'lucky find'**

SSP posts on this board usually contain something like:
whats this worth??
as a seller
ive been dealing in coins for a period of time
i shoulda asked before listing but
i had this listed and im not sure
pretty obvious to anyone who's been around for a day for two...

Ah, but this IS a 'numismatic site'! The actual name of this chatting
board is 'Coin & Paper Money'.
That is what we discuss here. Some of us have been sharing
coin and paper money information and acquisitions since Jan 1999.
It would not make much sense for us to transfer to the 'button chat
board'.

The item discussed in el Heron's post is NOT for sale. It was acquired
to be part of his collection of coins & tokens.
In addition, Heron included the 'This item is NOT for sale' statement
so readers would KNOW that THIS ITEM IS NOT FOR SALE.
Over the past 22 years many coin & token collectors have reported
their acquisitions on this very NUMISMATIC chatting board. This
chatting board is for COIN AND TOKEN COLLECTORS to share the
joy of coin collecting with other COIN AND TOKEN COLLECTORS.
Anyone connected with eBay and being interested in collecting coins
and tokens and paper money can report their acquisitions here.
So, here it is again: Heron's coins and tokens ARE NOT FOR SALE.
The acquisitions are reported to share the joy of coin and token
collecting with other coin and token collectors. (Please read this carefully).

Are we having fun yet?

I recognize my message and assume you are implying that I need a reading comprehension lesson.
If the OP's intent was not to obliquely advertise something he wants to sell, why post it on eBay if it has nothing to do with eBay? Yes, more evidence of my lack of reading comprehension.

Not sure these folks are open to suggestions.

unbelievable... OP literally has "Note: This coin/token is NOT for sale. " in his post...
apparently since it's not at the top of the post, bold, italicized, and 96 point, it's not good enough...

Well, the 'point' here is: Heron does NOT want to sell his coins & tokens.
Obliquely or otherwise.
This numismatics chatting board is for those of us that collect and study
various coins and tokens, and paper money.
In between our conversations about coins and tokens that we acquire we also answer questions regarding coins and tokens and paper money.
There are several contributors to this chatting board that have been collecting coins and tokens and paper money for a LIFETIME. We
continue to study and share information because it is impossible for
one person to know everything about coins, tokens, & paper money.
Some of us have 'want lists' and have been searching for various
coins, tokens, and paper money for many years (decades). When we
acquire a long sought after item we usually do NOT want to sell it,
especially if it takes 40 or 50 years to FIND one a these items.
We search for items to add to our collections. That is what collectors
do. It is what makes collectors happy. And we also like to share the
joy of collecting with other collectors.
Now, as for suggestions, what are they?

OP was not obliquely doing anything. He was acutely describing an acquisition to his collection.

Well said B-17! (Heron wanted to hit the 'solution button' for the English
for Dummies post, however the system would not allow another solution!
Thanks mucho anyhow).
