Did you mean:

"The page isn’t redirecting properly. An error occurred during a connection to www.ebay.com"

A lot of my bookmarked searches suddenly stopped working. This started yesterday. I get this error: "The page isn’t redirecting properly. An error occurred during a connection to www.ebay.com" Any ideas?

If you are using a mobile browser to load a bookmark, try a desktop browser instead; it may avoid the redirection or work better.

If not, you may have to create new searches.

If you are unable to recover your search keywords and other parameters, and you do not mind sharing one of your searches, try copying an original search URL and paste it into a post here; someone may be able to create an alternative search that avoids the error. Perhaps a simple correction could make your other old searches work again as well.

Save the old searches in case the error is just a temporary issue.

Re: "The page isn’t redirecting properly. An error occurred during a connection to www.ebay.com

Thanks for the reply. I'm not using mobile. Here is one of the bookmarked searches that worked up until two days ago. <https://www.ebay.com/sch/collectibles/1/i.html?_LH_Time=1&_okw=sitka*&_from=R40%7CR40%7CR40&_oexkw=b...

It reminds me of a few years ago when eBay got rid of "http://desc.shop.ebay.com/"  which ruined hundreds of my bookmarked searches. But this new problem is affecting about 5% of my bookmarked searches. I can eventually probably figure out what's wrong, but I don't have the hours needed to work on it now. I thought someone else may have figured out what's going on.

Re: "The page isn’t redirecting properly. An error occurred during a connection to www.ebay.com

Unfortunately the link you posted appears to point back to this thread rather than to a search. From the text of the link it appears to be a search of a collectibles category, but that text is truncated, so I cannot see many details of what you are searching for.

I do know that some others have run into problems with RSS feeds; in the past there was a workaround involving changing eBay search URLs from ebay.com/sch/ to ebay.com/dsc/ or vice versa, and apparently this workaround no longer helps with RSS -- this may or may not be related to your issue, though.

Re: "The page isn’t redirecting properly. An error occurred during a connection to www.ebay.com

I did just notice, before I read your last reply, that the bookmarks that fail all start with "https://www.ebay.com/dsc/" and the ones that still work start with "https://www.ebay.com/sch/".  Then I read your reply. Exactly what you said. First time I've encountered this issue. I also noted that even though the search failed, eBay changes the displayed URL from dsc to sch, but that doesn't show the search results; it still shows the error page. Odd behavior. Now I have to spend a lot of time changing all of these searches, time that I could have spent buying or selling on eBay.
